Generali Global Assistance Appoints Vladimir Poletaev as VP of Global Business Development for Identity & Digital Protection

Mr. Poletaev will lead Account Management and Sales teams spearheading the Company’s growth.

Bethesda, Md. – September 12, 2017 – Generali Global Assistance (“The Company”), a leader in the assistance industry since its founding in 1963, part of the global Generali Group, and the developer of a proprietary and innovative identity and digital protection platform, today announced the appointment of Vladimir Poletaev as Vice President of Global Business Development for Identity and Digital Protection Services.

In his new role, Mr. Poletaev will lead Account Management and Sales teams spearheading the Company’s growth.  He will be instrumental in expanding Generali Global Assistance’s customer base in the U.S. and in Canada, following the Company’s recent identity protection platform launch in that marketplace, as well as in providing white glove service to current accounts.  Mr. Poletaev has more than 15 years of identity protection industry experience and previously worked for Generali Global Assistance under its former name, Europ Assistance USA.  He was a key contributor to the development of the Company’s identity protection platform during his previous 10-year tenure and led its expansion from a single platform to a robust identity protection product line.

Paige Schaffer, President and COO of Generali Global Assistance’s Identity and Digital Protection Services Global Unit, commented on today’s news, “I am excited to work with Vladimir again and proud to welcome him back to our executive team.  His insights were critical during the initial development of our identity protection platform, and he will be invaluable as we continue to create solutions focused on customer value and growth.”

Mr. Poletaev commented, “I look forward to utilizing my experience in identity protection, sales and account management, as well as my deep commitment to customer service, as I return to Generali Global Assistance.  I enjoy streamlining processes in order to better serve the needs of current and potential clients, and am honored to join the Company during this exciting time as we look to continue our growth trajectory.”

Mr. Poletaev has significant managerial experience, having overseen teams ranging from call centers to cadres of experienced sales professionals over the course of his career.  Prior to Generali Global Assistance, he served as Vice President, Strategic Accounts at Aspire Insurance Advisers.  During his time there, he led the expansion of Aspire’s global solutions into dozens of countries throughout Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.  Mr. Poletaev has a Masters Degree in International Law, is a certified continuing education instructor for both general insurance and identity theft insurance, and holds various insurance producer and agent licenses.

Ron Stewart, Senior Vice President of Sales at TransUnion Consumer Interactive, commented, “Vladimir was instrumental in initiating TransUnion’s strategic partnership with Generali Global Assistance in 2003, which has only grown stronger over the last 14 years.  His contributions directly resulted in TransUnion providing credit reporting data to Generali Global Assistance, which is integral for their Identity Theft Resolution team to provide frustration-free credit record corrections for their customers.”
